On 1st June, the International Day of Child Protection, Vika from the Salem Social Village team met up with a whole lot of kids – kids with disabilities, kids from disadvantaged backgrounds, kids from families struggling to provide for them – at Shymkent’s Russian Drama Theatre for a short voyage into the colourful world of a fairytale production.
After the show was over, the kids all happily spent time on the Social Village site playing various games, enjoying some cakes, cookies and drinks in the cafe, and winning a few prizes along the way!
It was great to mark the start of the summer season, and an important day of international recognition, with a visit to a great cultural event and a really fun time with all these kids.
